ADV.1 Wheels have just released their newest build. It’s a Black Sapphire Metallic BMW F10 M5 that features a set of custom wheels and aero parts. This M5 is a welcome sight in the wake of the new BMW G30 5 Series coming out, showing us how timeless this 5 Series’ design really is. With the advent of the new M5 nearing as well, we’ll be seeing more BMW F10 M5 builds, featuring all kind of aftermarket parts and modifications.
The foundation for this build is a clean looking M5 that’s powered by a 4.4 Liter V8 turbo petrol engine. This powerplant delivers 560 horsepower (412 kW) and maximum torque of 502 lb-ft (680 Newton meters). The current-generation M5 will make the acceleration run from 0-62 mph (0-100km/h) in 4.2 seconds and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). However, an unrestricted (limiter removed) BMW F10 M5 can hit a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). Definitely a good starting point.
The most recognizable part of the build are the ADV15R Track Spec CS Directional wheels. While some of us have acquired a taste for directional wheels, there’s plenty of those who view this is a fab.
On the other hand, the directional design really help make the M5 look modern, while the rather contemporary appeal arising from such a setup, gives the F10 M5 a new youth altogether. The wheels installed are lightweight, strong and exert utmost perfect fitment.
But that does bring it’s own set of problems for the would-be owners. Namely, pricing. These wheels are definitely not your run-off-the-mill setup you can buy for $3,000 at your local parts store and simply strap it on the vehicle. They do go upwards from $8,000 for a new set.
Well, neither is a BMW M5 just an ordinary vehicle. So anyone coughing up over $100,000 (with extras) will not feel the pain of a custom set of aftermarket wheels like these.
These ADV15R Track Spec CS wheels come in sizes of 21×9.5 and 21×11 in the front and rear, respectively. They also feature a Matte Bronze finish for the wheel front and the lips feature a Glossed Brushed Manbronze finish. The additional 50/50 exposed hardware option adds a black finishing touch, perfectly accentuating the wheel setup in every way.
But that’s just half the story. The owner decided to change the exterior looks of this M5 by adding a series of aero parts. At the front, the M5 features a front add-on spoiler, along with the typical blacked out kidney grilles. In the back, a carbon fiber spoiler sits atop the trunk, while the carbon fiber diffuser beautifully incorporates an aftermarket exhaust system. All of these parts come courtesy of Vorsteiner and utilize all their know-how in creating a well balanced product, featuring lightweight, rigidity and amazing looks.
