The all-new BMW 5 Series is built on BMW’s new CLAR (Cluster Architecture) platform — the same one that underpins the new 7 Series. In turn, the new generation of 5 Series is lighter, stiffer, stronger and more dynamic. It’s basically better than the outgoing F10 5 Series in every single way.
The BMW M550i xDrive comes equipped with an M Performance-tuned 4.4 liter V8 — featuring two twin-scroll turbochargers, a High-Precision injections system, Valvetronic valve lift and Double VANOS variable cam timing — the BMW M550i xDrive develops 456 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. The latter of which comes in at an incredibly low 1,800 rpm. The power and torque are sent through an eight-speed automatic Sport Steptronic gearbox to all four wheels, via xDrive. In turn, the BMW M550i xDrive can accelerate from 0-62mph (0-250km/h) in just 4.0 seconds. That makes it the fastest non-M BMW 5 Series ever made. The vehicle comes with an electronically limited top speed of 155mph (250km/h).
A perfect starting point for an aftermarket build.
The owner of this beautiful Bluestone Metallic BMW M550i xDrive decided to give his vehicle an aftermarket customization touch. This was achieved through an order of HRE RS200M wheels, giving the vehicle a much more aggressive note and stance, in turn making the M550i quite a sporty looking vehicle.
The build is wrapped by Wheels Boutique, helping the owner choose a perfect set of wheels. For this BMW M550i xDrive, the HRE RS200M wheels come sized 19 inches (the M550i OEM wheel sizes). The wheels feature a Brushed Dark Clear finish applied. Finally, the wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero rubber.
