DTM drivers get to travel around Europe throughout the season, driving on some of the best tracks the Old Continent has to offer. But nothing beats a free session on a race track with no competitors and time laps to beat. BMW DTM driver Felix Antonio Da Costa went to Hungaroring prior to this weekend’s race and decided to have some fun on his own.

Furthermore, he decided to strap a 360-degree camera on the passenger seat, recording his driving, giving us a taste of his fun day. The video posted below shows the young driver having fun for once on the track located close to Budapest, Hungary, aboard a BMW M2 Coupe. As he points out, he doesn’t get to do this too often so this will be a treat for all of us.

The footage below shows how easy it is to modulate a car like the BMW M2 using just your right foot and the steering wheel – if you’re a BMW DTM driver.

Da Costa joined the BMW DTM effort in 2014 and the 25-year old Portuguese driver is currently also involved in Formula E, where BMW is rumored to build its own team. Judging by how much he enjoyed his time on the Hungaroring with the BMW M2, we reckon he is a true car guy who will soon starting bringing in big points in the DTM.
