Even though BMW brought out a rather modest contingent at this year’s Paris Motor Show, the Bavarian brand made sure it attracted a lot of curious sights with one special concept. Unveiled for the first time in front of a live audience, the BMW X2 Concept was welcomed with a lot of excitement by the BMW community. The production version is still about a year away and the hope is that the concept model will retain most of its design cues.
The rendering below aims to illustrate what the X2 production model would look like and starts doing that by removing the futuristic headlights of the concept, followed by the removal of the super sporty front bumper.
Inside the cabin things will be identical to the X1 with probably a bit less room in the back. The same story goes under the sheet metal, where engines will be shared throughout the range as well as the xDrive system and the Aisin automatic gearboxes. All in all, the X2 will provide BMW customers an even wider palette of crossovers to choose from.
