We see the chaotic results of fluid spills on the track all the time, but this one has a bit of irony in it. An E36 3 Series was tracking at the famous Nurburgring track when it began to suffer from an oil leak. The residue left on the track it cause several other cars to spin off, but one of them wasn’t so fortunate.
Another E36 3 Series was coming in hot from behind and the oil leak led to its crash on the side wall. Fortunately, the driver was able to control the car and the damages seem to be limited, yet still painful.
Other cars following the crash were a bit luckier and managed to stay on course with a bit of steering correction.
As always, exercise caution at all times on the track, especially if it’s the famous Nordschleife.
